Course Description:
Learn to create unique artworks through the vast and whimsical medium of collage during this week-long introductory art course! We will explore the versatile act of collaging through use of found objects, recycled materials, original creations, and photomontage. Students will gain an understanding of skilled techniques while also advancing their distinctive creative practice. The course is suitable for any artistic ability—all will expand their expressive tools related to color, texture, shape, and construction.
Instructor Bio:
Noelle Anderson is a painter, art educator, and human development teacher at The Branson School. Maintaining a Sausalito-based studio practice, Noelle also creates large-scale oil paintings that explore the self, process, abstraction, gender, and the natural world. She studied Studio Art and Geography at Dartmouth College, then moved to the Bay Area in 2018 where she joined Berggruen Gallery as an Editorial Content Associate. In addition, Noelle has painted murals across the globe, from New Hampshire to The Bahamas to New Zealand. She is excited to share her knowledge and passion for the art world, artistic skill development, and creative exploration this summer!
