Course Description: 

Gear up for adventures with the digital camera in this summer photography camp for rising 6th-8th graders! We'll venture out to local hotspots like Phoenix Lake, downtown San Anselmo, and China Camp State Park, where you’ll explore how to capture stunning landscapes and more urban settings, make portraits, and experiment with fun photography techniques. You'll learn how to use the rule of thirds to make more interesting photographs, to play with natural and studio lighting for bigger visual impact, and inventive ways to turn your camera into a tool for creative expression. We'll use Adobe Lightroom to polish your images and bring out their strengths. This class is all about having fun, exploring your creativity, and seeing the world in a whole new way! Digital camera and Lightroom are provided for you. By the end of the week you'll walk away with a portfolio of your best images to show off to family and friends.

Instructor Bio:

Allyson Seal is a teacher, an artist, and a nurturing guide whose creative process and enthusiasm has touched thousands of lives. She has taught at Branson for 16 years. Creating is the way she likes to move through the world. She values curiosity, experimentation, and vulnerability as essential components to the process of becoming fully alive. She helps students express the wholeness of who they are in all their funk and flavor. She believes fluorescent is always a good color choice.
